Notes

Boulton Paul Defiant Mk 1

The Boulton Paul Defiant is a British interceptor that served with RAF during World War II.

On 26 August 1940, 264 Squadron engaged a formation of 12 Dornier Do 17 bombers over north-eastern Kent. Three Defiants were lost but six Do 17s and a Bf 109 were shot down - more on wikipedia.

This diorama captures part of the action..

These kits were both tooled in 2014 and are a joy to build and were an early sign of Airfix’s return to form.
