#163 Ural-4320
When “friends” take you for a ride… the Ural-4320 serving with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. An old but still decent 1:72 kit from ICM.
Notes
The Ural-4320 is a general purpose off-road 6×6 vehicle, produced from 1977 to the present and widely used across the old Soviet-block. In recent times, it has seen service on both sides of the war in Ukraine.
The Kit
URAL-4320 Military Truck of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ICM No. 72708 1:72 is the 2023 boxing of a 1990’s tooling.
I purchased the kit from hobby.dn.ua for €10.86 (Aug-2023).
The kit was also the subject for the Moosaroo Cup 2024.

Build Log
For the driver, I pinched and modified a figure from the British Tank Riders WWII HäT No. 8264 1:72 set.
The chassis was by far this most involved part of the build, but with a bit of care it went together nicely.
The digital camo decals turned out to be quite easy to use.
I was inspired to create a little scene after a friend telling me of getting bounced around on forrest roads in Poland in the back of a Ural-4320.
I used one modified figure from the California Gold Miners Pegasus Hobbies No. 7050 1:72 set, and some figures from the WWII Partisans in Europe (French and Balkan) Caesar Miniatures No. H056 1:72 set to be the unlucky passengers on this wild ride.
